Pediatric Oncology Nurse II: Acute Care Clinic

As a Clinic Nurse in our Ambulatory Care Unit: Acute Care Clinic, you’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team that serves on the frontlines of our patients’ care. Our three-bed Acute Care Clinic plays a critical role at St. Jude, serving patients from across the hospital who are unscheduled in our ACU, but require immediate attention for urgent or emergent fever, pain, and medical reactions. Because of the unique and variable nature of our clinics, you’ll have the opportunity to utilize every clinical skill in your toolbox, thinking critically and collaborating daily with your team—made up of two nurses and a provider--to triage and treat our patients.

0730-2000 M-F with a rotating weekend and holiday requirement.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• RN required. BSN preferred.

Minimum Experience:

• Completion of eighteen (18) months of St. Jude RN experience and documented core competences and skill sets with CAP peer review; OR five (5) years of internal St. Jude PON experience; OR ten (10) years of total RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:

• (LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
• (LC: RN-ARK or RN-MISS) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $31.50 - $55.00 per hour for the role of Pediatric Oncology Nurse II: Acute Care Clinic.
