Please note:
This position is eligible for remote consideration, which requires on-site travel to Memphis 1x per month, up to 12 trips per year.

Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Planning Specialist, you will:

  • Complete portions of strategic plan development management process for departments and programs; develop business plans with guidance.
  • Perform statistical analysis to unlock trends and key insights critical for the success of St. Jude; summarize findings, reporting in applicable reports and track performance.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, better tools and templates to support planning and executing initiatives.
  • Form productive relationships with program areas within St. Jude.
  • Serve as a project manager for small standard projects; facilitate discussions at internal SPDS meetings.
  • Maintain strategic planning tools to support strategic plan management; create documentation in adherence to applicable federal, state and local safety, health regulations and standards.
  • Develop proficiency in two strategic planning tools.
  • May mentor and provide guidance to members within the team

Minimum Education & Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 4+ years experience in healthcare focused strategic planning or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred with 2+ years experience in healthcare focused strategic planning or related field

Minimum Experience:

  • Background in healthcare-focused strategic planning or a related field required.
  • Experience with strategic planning processes, organizational problem solving, research management, operations, and project management preferred
  • Prior EPIC, ESRI experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint preferred.
  • Experience with Business intelligence tools ( Tableau/Power BI) a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in previous roles.

  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Skilled in retreat agenda development and facilitation
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proficient in data analytics and data visualization
  • Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into strategic recommendations

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $78,000 - $139,360 per year for the role of Senior Strategic Planning Associate.
